Consulting Services:
Over the years Poolside Leisure has been called upon by many of Tampa’s
pool builders to advise them or help rectify an error. We have worked with
Trendsetter, Patio, Blue Haven, A-Quality, Wet Lounge Pools, Barefoot, Posh
Pools, Capital Pools, Commercial Pools 1
& 2, and many more.
We have been retained by law firms, equipment vendors, interior
surface manufacturers, etc to be a neutral third party when warranty
responsibility is being disputed.
We have worked with many insurance companies or intermediary
contractors (Paul Davis Restoration) for insurance claims, ranging from
sinkhole repairs
to fire restoration.
We also offer our services for larger projects by providing all the
pertinent information for our clients to create a detailed Request for
Bids. Just some of the information provided: scope of work, time frames,
code requirements to be met, material specifications and so on. For
example, many pool contractors will simply drain a pool, install a new
surface, collect their money and run. Our job is to provide/present the
associations or management companies with a detailed list of items that
must be addressed when they intended to just put a new interior in. Very
few realize that step tile, wall tile, rails etc have to be all be brought
up to current code.
Unfortunately too many go with the lowest bidder to save a few
dollars. After a year or so, some as short as six months! later, we are asked to return to evaluate a pool
whose surface should have lasted 8-12 years. Not only do they
have to resurface the pool again, but usually the last surface has to be
mechanically removed. And FYI you must remove Fiber-Tech or any other
sprayed fiberglass interior, before installing an industry standard
cementious interior.

$150/hour for residential
Structural
Expertise:
We are also very well known for structural
repairs. Cracks from sink holes, beam separations, leaks, tree roots etc.
We have seen it all. Years ago, we
re-attached the bottom of a commercial pool using a combination of our
learned techniques. We resurfaced the pool when completed and to this day
you would never know the extent of damage that pool had sustained. We don’t
dimply fill the crack. We utilize modern techniques such as Kevlar carbon
fiber surface bonding agents that can flex up to an
1/8” without cracking!
